THE MONTH OF MARCH'S LEADERSHIP ACTIVITIES

1st leadership activity.

Sensitization about open defecation

In Ramapura village 0n 24.02.09 we had leadership activity. In this activity Savita and I(Fathima) were leaders & Mr. D B vanageri was follower. On 24th Feb Savita, D B and I decided to aware the Ramapur people about open defication. Because sometinmes sanitation leads to ill health.So we coducted one program them in this sesion we used some of the posters, banners regarding this sanitation we asked many quastions and answers. villagers were participated activly.Leter we had

discusion on their village problems there were many problems such as a Drop out, Childmarraige, Sanitation,etc.

Startgies:

  • It was in night so the help of panchayath people we gathered the people.
  • Prayer by villlagers and songs
  • Effective song by us
  • used posters and picturs about open deffication

challanges:

  • Gathering the people
  • controll the people while discusion

Lessons learnt & output:

how to communicate with elder people and how to get information by them. villagers know their problems and possible solutions but lack of proper awareness they were not able to understand.And finaly the people said we will think about this for our women's.

2nd leadership activity

Awareness about RTI in Bairidevarkoppa'scommunity:

On 4th march leadership activity I was leader and veeresh and meenaxi were follwers. We had street play about Right to Information Act,2005 in bairidevarkoppa near bus stop. At evening we gathered a people and we awared them about RTI by street play. We were seven members in our group. leter street play we had open discussion with com

munity.In open discusion some asked us, is it possible to get information by government authorities withou corruption and we communicate at their understand level. Ater that they were very happy and we got good hospitality from villagers.

3rd Leadership Activity

Awareness among Degree students and lecturers about RTI (Right to

Information Act, 2005) in K E Board cllage Shivaji circle, Dharwad.

on 7th march we had sessionon RTI in K E Board college ,Dharwad. In this leadership activity I was leader and D B was follower. We took session by showing slide shows of RTI and we taught them what the RTI is? And How to get Information and which section what have. And how to write a application. We gave them clear picture of the application format & what are enclosed should attaches with the application such as 10rs postal order, photo copy of BPL card if someone have. Later we had open discussion with students and lecturers. Near 160 people were gathered.

4th leadership activity

Street play on the eve of International Women’s Day.

On 8th march 2009 on

the eve of International women’s day we did

street play in Gantikeri,

Hubli. We sung a sang to gathered people and

using banner we

introduced ourselves. We were 7 members in our team by street play we

showed what problems

women are facing now

days. We showed them by street play what are

the scenario at present in society. They were so

happy to watch our street play. And lastly we got

feedback from them also.

Objectives:

To Change the perspective of the men towards women

To celebrate the International Women’s Day in Community

Strategies:

Ø By singing song

Ø Gathered the people

Ø By playing street play

Ø Open discussion

Challenge: Gathering people in public place

Learning & output:

Coordination plays an important role in public performance. Be ready to any situation. There are some people realized themselves and they came in front of community and shared their views.
