Village study

KARADIKOPPA VILLAGE
Karadikoppa village is very beautifull with greenery crops. Agriculture is main job for karadikopppa villlagers. It was wonderfull expearence for me I got karadikoppa village to study. I learn many things through this village study. It was good opportunity for me to intaract people and gaining knowledge by them.

WELCOME TO YOU ALL

here I am sharing my expearience regaurding my village study

A girl stared crying in FGD I asked to her why? She said "her father was drunker when he drank he use to beat her mother. Now he is no more but how ever she is MISSING her father" - a 16 year young girl.

Another woman expressed her love in another way she invited me for lunch I deniede but she told no! "you are like my doughter you came here for laerning so you should came and have lunch in my home" this shows how the village people respect other peopel eventhough they are sternger for them.

In village study we are four member Fathima, Chandru, Devdanam and Mahantesh we started our missen by walk from Gram Chetana Surshettikoppa to karadikoppa. on the way we passed three other villages. It was really memorable for us. we went karadikoppa on 11h Feb 2009.

Karadikoppa is a small village of Hubli taluk, which is 17 KM away. It is 40 KM away from district HQ Dharwad. This village had situated on the bank of Shalmal Kuradikeri, Inamveerapur, Bommasamudra, Kamplikoppa and Mishrikoti are the surrounding villages to Karadikoppa. We stayed in Mahadevi Sidlingannavar’s house.

Before going to karadikoppa we visited Inamveeerapur village there we observed 'SUSTAINBLE AGRICULTURE MODULE OF AME FOUNDATION '

History of village

Village has 100 years history. karadi means bear and kopppa means settlment, early it was a thick foresrt and its use to live bears 100 years back the whole village shifted on the hill becouse of heavy rainfall.

We started our village study with PRA tools. PRA means participatetory Rural appriasal. Mr. Prakash But sir took theory classes to all DFP Fellows for ^ days. On 10th Feb we had PRA in kamlikoppa village. After that on 11th we all went to Karadikoppa village.
